Hello, my name is...
Ms. Jennifer F. Bogar

Welcome to my page!
Although I am a new teacher to the Roselle School District, I am not new to education. After earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Media from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, I worked at the National News Desk of The Associated Press in New York City.
While at The AP, I wrote and edited state summaries that appeared in USA Today, wrote music reviews and monitored databases.
I began to substitute teach and subsequently landed a Language Arts Literacy position at Jersey City Community Charter School. I was later hired by Newark Public Schools where I worked in Attendance and Truancy, then as a high school English teacher.
I then moved on to the middle school grades with Robert Treat Academy Charter School for two and a half years.
I began at Abraham Clark High School in November 2016.
My background includes serving as the Newspaper Club Advisor, facilitator of Stand & Deliver, a public speaking club, tutoring, ESL teacher, and writing coach.
I enjoy teaching and look forward to making a difference in our scholar's lives, one day at a time. My job is to ensure that students are not only prepared academically once they leave high school, but also that they are prepared for the real world.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns.
